ABOUT US

As the end of the year approaches and we navigate through the traditional Christmas rush I wish to take this opportunity to thank all the NEWPORT clients and Industry Partners for a successful 2009. The dynamic and innovative projects that currently fill our production schedule continue to raise the bar and set the scene for an exciting 2010 in terms of design, style and quality. NEWPORT engages a captive audience that appreciates high design, exceptional quality and a focus on service. The challenge is now set to build on those qualities and progress further throughout 2010. Many outstanding projects are nearing completion and we look forward over the coming editions to showcasing the brilliant work that has been achieved throughout the year. Special thanks to all the staff at NEWPORT KITCHENS ANDESIGN for continuing to provide an exceptional product and service. Enjoy this edition of NEWPORT NEWS as we launch more brand new materials, technology, hardware solutions and take a snapshot of what is on offer from the best of kitchen products and innovations.

FEATURE "NEWPORT IN THE KNOW"

“The ultimate contemporary kitchen is not seperated from the living space, but tuned in and combines into the architecture of modern living”.

In the latest edition of WA’s best homes magazine NEWPORT Managing Director Eric P. Horne was asked a series of questions for ‘in the know’ a compilation or responses from Perth’s leading designers, architects and builders about ways to achieve the ultimate room. NEWPORT was selected as the leading kitchen design and manufacturing company to unlock the secrets of the ultimate kitchen design. Over the next two editions of NEWPORT NEWS® we will share these pearls of wisdom. Cost aside what is the dream feature of the ultimate kitchen? Technology is advancing so rapidly that there is no single dream feature that stands out. A combination of cutting edge appliances, hardware solutions and interactive technology would combine to create the ultimate luxury in kitchen technology. What materials do you recommend using when creating / designing this look? Natural stones for texture and timelessness, timber for tactile warmth, lacquer for crispness and clarity, steel for practicality, acrylics for versatility and reconstituted stones for continuity. How can people incorporate this style of kitchen without a total renovation? What are simple ways to create your chosen style? Unfortunately I think that there are no shortcuts to good design and quality.
